New music,
new experiences.

Closed circle – back to basics.

“We got our first paid gig when we were 15. After that we couldn't stop. We totally loved making music, and a live audience was the ultimate thing. It still is”
(Michael Bondeson)

Michael Bondeson and Magnus Wegerup made their stage debut in 1972. From that day on, they always had a band going. Sometimes a duo, sometimes solo. But the music continued to flow.

It's been 50 years now. Incredible 50 years.

“We went around the block a few times, and today it´s pretty much a closed circle. Back to basics. Guitars, bass, drums.”
(Magnus Wegerup)

Bondeson & Wegerup reunited last summer after a long break and went to work in the studio without wasting any time. During a couple of weeks in July 2021, they recorded ten songs for the new comeback album “Together,” released on cd and various social media.

“Together” is also available for free listening on www.wegerup.se.

1965 – or 5 minutes ago.

By the time you read this, Bondeson & Wegerup are recording more songs, both originals and covers, hopefully resulting in another new album later this year. Keep your eyes and ears open.

"The Beatles and Hank Williams. They are our biggest influences. No one else has meant as much as they have. No one is even close."
(Michael Bondeson)

"The 60s formed us. And the 70s, I guess. Influences have been quite rare since, let's say, the late 70s. Mostly crap, really."
(Magnus Wegerup)

Even though they celebrate the 1960s, Bondeson & Wegerup clearly want to distance themselves from the usual "oldies and goldies" genre.

"Bondeson & Wegerup is not a nostalgia act or, you know… Do you remember this and that, etc. The music we make is here and now, very much here and now, never mind if it was written 1965 or 5 minutes ago."
(Magnus Wegerup)

TWANG!

"We feel more today than yesterday. More tomorrow too. The 60's style is perhaps a natural trademark that many people can relate to. It makes it easier to categorize us by using that term. But we don't need it. The music doesn't need it because it's just basically good electrified twangy songs. From the heart."
